Jesus replied, I am leaving you with a gift- peace of mind and heart. And the peace I give is a gift the world cannot give. So don’t be troubled or afraid.” John 14:27
Biblically defining the word “Abide” means to accept without objection or hesitation, and continue to remain stable. It further goes on to expand on this action word abide, by defying it as being fixed, in a state of love and ‘peace.’
Okay … STOP!! I know, I know!!! “Have you seen and heard all that is happening?” My circumstances are, to put it mildly…’Anything but peaceful.’
Abiding in a place with peace of mind, and heart, can keep your day to day stable. God is for you and not against you, even when the world has circumstances mounting and hope seems far away. Jesus replied to his disciples and said, “The peace I give you is a peace the world cannot give.” When we look to Jesus during the darkest times of our lives, we are abiding in Him. We are actually holding on to hope and not giving up. We will discover that we can experience courage, peace and clarity in our thoughts. Together with prayer, reading scriptures daily and most of all trusting what His word says.
We are not alone! We have a Heavenly Father that loves us so much he gave his life for us. He gave us a gift of the Holy Spirit to comfort us, to help us and guide us every moment of everyday.
May I encourage your heart today? His whisper to you, as a woman, wife, mother, grandmother, caregiver, front line worker, his loving words are clear, “Abide in me.” “Don’t be troubled or afraid.” You are in his hands, will you trust him today? Will you say yes to Jesus, and allow him to comfort you, as you Abide in him?
You, are not alone!

I just love this! I was thinking early this morning on Isaiah 26:3 that says “You keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on you, because he trusts in you.” (ESV). No matter what is happening around us we can live in constant peace when we keep our minds on our Heavenly Father and not on earthly things!
Thanks Stacy for sharing and writing this. I love how you make it personal and impact-full at the same time!
Thanks Jenn♥️ I know a writer when I read! Lol. Thank you for writing your valued comments. I hope that others are as blessed with them -as I was. It’s true, during this time and no matter what is going on around us! He remains – as we Abide in Him.
Blessings, Stacy
Thanks Stacy
Your message is very reflective of our current circumstances, we have to abide in our homes which shelter and protect us, and as we abide in the Lord Jesus he does the same.
Thanks Sandy says, for your blog comments. I love that you shared He shelters and protects us – even during the virus we have been facing! We declare it to be true!
Amen sister,
Stacy
Thanks Stacey for your words of encouragement and blessing. They confirm what God has been teaching me as my husband and I have delved more into the Word of God, personal and shared devotionals and prayer during this pandemic season. We have experienced an awesome peace while dealing with the passing of our 44 yr old nephew, my own recurring health issue, the cancer diagnosis of a dear friend. The Psalms have been an awesome source of encouragement. There is peace in the midst of the storm!!!!!
Dear Judy, how much you and your family has faced. Through it all, I reflect on the fact I heard your beautiful piano playing online, and how so many times seeing you – “You and your husband” both have smiles on your faces! True love of God -Reflecting in your everyday lives. We will
Continue to pray for you.
Blessings Stacy

He is our peace♥️
Hey Stacy …
With so many people feeling completely out-of-sorts these days, what a nice reminder that there is one thing that is “constant!”
This pandemic is proving to be a time for the people of faith to really shine; whether on the front lines as healthcare workers, or simply using the platform God has given them to share words of hope and inspiration.
Thanks for YOURS!! 🙂
Hi Pat,
Thank you sooo much for your words of encouragement and the insights of “People simply using the platform God has given to them to share.” We all can gleen from this word! I appreciate your reading this leadership blog!
He is our peace, and we have hope as we abide in Him.
Blessings,
Stacy
What a great reminder whose anchor we can depend on. We bring joy to the Lord, the author and finisher of our faith when we abide. Every moment of the day, He is right there for each one of us. He knows and He has prepared for all of us. And I would just add – Abide and listen to His whisper.
